What's Happening in Third Grade? There are so many exciting things that will be happening this year! Third grade is a very important year. Students will learn to become more responsible for themselves and for their learning. Not only will third graders take the MAP test this year, they will also be taking the M-STEP for the first time. We will be learning about many different things, including Michigan history, various reading and writing genres, multiplication, division, and fractions. As in years past, third graders will also participate in character education throughout the year. I'm sure you will be amazed at how much your child will grow both academically and socially in third grade. I'm looking forward to working with each and every one of you to make this a fabulous year!

Please make sure that you have read the
"Third Grade Yellow Pages"
that you received at Open House or on the first day of school.
In that packet, you will find information on several of our policies and procedures in
third grade. We put everything into ABC order so that you can use it as a quick
reference throughout the year if needed.
